MOUNTAIN BIKE INDIANA ANNOUNCES NEW TRAIL PROJECTS IN INDIANA STATE FOREST –
In 2019 Mountain Bike Indiana (MBI) sat down with the Director of the DNR Division of Forestry, John Seifert, to discuss new trail opportunities in Indiana.
The property, formerly known as “Girl Scout Camp”, was given the green light as a Mt. Bike Destination Recreation Center. DNR Division of Forest is planning to add 40 class “A” full hook up camping sites. MBI members have been scouting the existing 5 miles of trail in phase 1. In phase 2 MBI, in conjunction with the Division of Forestry, will design optimal single track routes extending out from the camp with connections to Yellowwood and Lake Monroe.
The old Girl Scout camp is within Yellowwood state forest south of SR 46 and west of Nashville off of TC Steel Rd., 4600 Davis Creek Rd, Nashville, In

This is awesome news!!! But the north/ central area ( Howard/ Miami County) area is a outdoor recreational desert… Mississinewa Reservoir…is a great example of wasted recreational area that could have multiple use trails and bring positive outdoor activities to communities that really are in need !!!
